General Box Tops Questions

1. Is my school currently enrolled in Box Tops?

Over 60,000 K-8 schools are already enrolled in the Box Tops program, and it's quick and easy to find out if your school participates. Visit www.boxtops4education.com to find out if your school is enrolled.

2. Is my school eligible for the Box Tops for Education program?

Box Tops for Education is available to any accredited public, private, or parochial school, for grades K-8, in the United States that has a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1) tax-exempt designation and to any United States military schools, for grades K-8, worldwide. It is also available to accredited home school associations, K-8, in the United States that have a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1) tax-exempt designation and have 15 or more students.

3. What if my school does not participate in Box Tops for Education?

More than 60,000 K-8 schools are enrolled in Box Tops for Education. However, not every K-8 school participates. If your school has not been involved in Box Tops, contact your school principal or administrator and ask them to enroll in the program by calling Box Tops for Education toll-free at 1-888-799-2444. Information is available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST, seven days a week.

4. How much money can my school earn?

Your school can earn up to $10,000 each year from the Clip Box Tops for Education program.

5. What can my school do with the money from Box Tops?

Your school can use the money for anything it wishes. Computers, books, playground equipment, and classroom parties are just some of the ways schools have chosen to use the funds raised through Box Tops for Education.

Box Tops for Education has contributed more than $50 million to participating schools, based on payments since 1996.

Each Box Tops logo is worth 10 cents for your school.

3. How do I turn in the Box Tops I've collected?

To turn Box Tops in, simply send them to school with your child. Participating schools have collection boxes, and Box Tops School Coordinators will bundle the Box Tops with others collected and ship them to General Mills' fulfillment center. Schools can redeem Box Tops from August 1 to March 30 each year. Box Tops collected between April 1 and July 31 may be saved at home and brought to school in the fall.
